We’ve created a brand new way to support your local High Street and save money by bringing you exclusive offers on all the things you love to do, eat, buy and enjoy – all direct to your mobile phone so you need never miss out on the latest bargains!
The app is FREE to download and is available NOW for download to the Apple iphone and Android phones. We are also working on a version for the Blackberry – coming soon!
So how does it work?
Wanstead businesses are happy to reward local shoppers for their loyalty. On the phone you’ll find offers and discounts from a wide range of businesses, including Lillies of Wanstead, The Bungalow Cafe, Biyoni Hair Salon, The Complete Studio and Images in Frames plus more being added all the time. Every week we’ll be adding new offers from local businesses – for example, a free bottle of house wine, a special gift or a money-off voucher to spend on your next visit. These offers are exclusive to mobile phone users who have downloaded the app and you won’t be able to access them any other way.
On your mobile phone you’ll be able to see at a glance all the current offers. To unlock the offers all you have to do is check-in at the business concerned and scan a special QR (quick response) code into your phone, using the inbuilt QR code reader. It’s quick and easy to do and once you’ve checked in enough times to unlock the offer, you simply present your phone on your next visit to redeem your coupon.
What else can you do with the app?
As well as money-saving offers, you’ll have up to date local news, travel and what’s on information and a host of other great features always at your fingertips.
- Seen something unusual or a celebrity out and about in Wanstead High Street? Just take a quick photo with your camera phone and send it to us and we’ll upload it to our photo gallery.
- Have a local event or community group you want to publicise? No problem. Send us the details using the inbuilt messaging feature and we’ll upload them to the What’s On and Local Information pages.
- Want to comment on a local issue? You can do that via the app too using your Facebook or Twitter account.
- And you can spread the word about the app using the quick and easy Tell A Friend feature, so all your friends and family can take advantage of these great offers and features too!
